Rx-Connect

 

 

IdealTech started Rx-Connect in 1995.  The aim of this project is to connect Doctors to Pharmacists using the internet.  The goal is to ensure the well-being of the patient by minimizing the errors in the prescription process. 

All transactions are secured.  Only the doctor's electronically signed prescription is passed on to the pharmacist thru the internet.                  
The prescribing doctor can check in real-time the availability of the prescribed pill or medicine in the member drug store or pharmacy. 
Rx-Connect maintains a database of substitutes
Rx-Connect compiles sources of major medical references for quick access by providing links to their online sites. 

Since its conception in 1995, Rx-Connect constantly evolves.   Major efforts are being undertaken right now to position Rx-Connect as a major eCommerce tool to accept and process orders not only for prescription medicines but for OTCs as well, to include vitamins, herbal and alternative medicines, medical supplies and equipment and other related products.  Expected completion date is 1st quarter of 1999.
